How do I? Couple of things

Postby superk74 » Wed Sep 09, 2009 3:19 am

Im very new to Inkscape, can someone please tell me how to group my logo parts together. It seems when I hit the group button then try to move the logo it drags just the top off. Also when I am done with the logo what should I do? Is there a special way I can save it and taken my logo to a friends computer who does not have Inkscape and show the logo to him?

Any help would be great thanks

It's hard to know where that's going wrong. So, guessing that you're missing the bottom part of your group, you could perhaps try a ctrl-a to select everything, and shift-click the parts you don't want in the group.

Export the image (file->export) and take the generated .png file to show him. Oh, and pay attention to the exported bitmap size to set it to something reasonable - something that's the approximate resolution of his screen is sensible - as it's otherwise possible your highly detailed logo could render at 4x3 pixels, and impress no-one.
