Hello everyone!
I'm having some problems with exporting the right colors in InkScape. There's attachment of colors in InkScape (left) and colors in export .PNG (right).
First, I thought that InkScape is lying to me about colors, but then I checked those colors with digital color meter app, and it seems that InkScape colors are right, the export colors are wrong. I never encountered this problem before, however, I use InkScape for a year or more. How can I fix it?
By the way, I'm on OS X 10.10 Yosemite with InkScape 0.91 (10.7 - 10.10 latest release).
Thank you for attention!

Re: InkScape display colors differs from export
Hello
I have a similar behaviour here in Ubuntu. But the exported PNGs from Inkscape only appears with a changed display colours on some applications, like the Image Viewer of Ubuntu. But If I open them, for example in Firefox or Chrome, I see them with the same colours than Inkscape.
I don't know if it could help to target the problem, but try to open the exported PNGs in other programs.
Just an idea: There are some options on the Preferences dialog (SHIFT + CTRL + P), related to export/import PNG. See if changing them it fix something,... or break it more.
Edit... well... there is no option about choosing color display at Bitmaps >> Export, there are only for resolution. At management of Color > Visualization display it says : "Best RGB"... I wonder if ALL inkscape's users are with the same option.

Re: InkScape display colors differs from export
I've seen that as well, comparing Inkscape to exported PNGs viewed with Windows Picture Viewer. It's more related to the program rendering the image, than the image itself.

Re: InkScape display colors differs from export
@hulf2012, thank you for the response, it's seems that you're right! Finder, Preview and Safari displaying incorrect colors, but I don't know why. I tried to open picture in other programs: Opera, Chrome, and FireFox display the right colors, but other applications like GIMP, Safari, native image Preview and Finder preview are showing different colors.
I don't have option "Best RGB", these options I have:
I tried to tweak all thins options (checked different combination of checkboxes and dropdowns), but there's no difference.
Is there any way to get the same result everywhere?
@brynn, so there's no way to get same colors everywhere? Maybe there's at least way to reduce overly saturated colors?

Re: InkScape display colors differs from export
So I'm not the only one.
volter9:
Is the "Display profile" I was talking for. My system is in Spanish, so some texts are translated different.
I haven't tried myself, but, in your case, in that drop down menu of that option doesn't appear any "profile"?. Also, some options only change if you restart Inkscape.
Brynn:
Don't you have the same profile (None)?.
I'm sorry but I don't know. It seems it depends of each program, what program libraries use each of them. Perhaps in the LAunchpad's site of Inkscape there is more information related. I haven't searched there. It's too much for me, right now!!. There are sooo many things to do and see...
Anyway... hope some idea will grow
