Curving a line

Postby BobbyS » Sun Mar 01, 2009 7:30 am

Hello,

I am new here and am also new to Inkscape. It looks like a pretty niffty little app. I am trying to learn all the functions. Maybe someone can help me. Lets say I make a rectangle and want to curve one of the lines, how would I do that. I tried to use the node tool but it would not grab it like it does for a straight line. If someone could help I would really appreciate it!

Thank You!

BobbyS

If you want to curve it in a way that it wouldn't be a rectangle after the edit, you need to first convert it to a path using Path > Object to Path option.

There is an Inkscape manual in my signature, check it out ;)

Convert the rectangle to a path then use Node tool to grab one of the sides and pull it away by dragging with your mouse ;)
