Hey everyone. I need lines of 0.5 mm for this etching mask I am designing in inkscape, but they're hard to see, so I drew the thing in 1mm lines instead. Only problem is, when I select everything and set the line width to .5mm, all of the parameters (X, Y, W and H) are changed just slightly. This is bad!
I know you can set an option so that the line width stays constant when the parameters are changed, but is the reverse true? Is there someway to change line width without changing parameters?

Re: Changing linewidth without changing vector parameters
Hhm, well, I passed up answering this yesterday, because I wasn't sure the answer. And I'm still not sure, but since no one else has posted, I'll try. I think you might be looking to change from visual bounding box to geometric bounding box. See Inkscape Preferences > Tools.
If that doesn't solve the problem, please post and say so. There are much more clever Inkscapers than I
