Splitting an ellipse (or a circle)

Postby ocirne94 » Sun Mar 14, 2010 9:50 pm

Hello all,
is there a way to split an ellipse :tool_ellipse: in regular circular sectors (to get different objects)?

Welcome to the forums, ocirne94 :D

Are you looking for something like this:

Image

If so, please see Inkscape Help menu > Tutorials > Shapes, or Help menu > Inkscape Manual.

If not, please either describe what you want in more detail, or include an example of what you want.

All best :D

Hello,
sorry for being unclear: I need a result that looks exactly like the starting ellipse, but divided in circular sectors so that I can for example remove one of them like in your first drawing. Like if I started with some duplicates of the same circular sector and had moved and turned them so that they formed an ellipse...

Thanks,
Ocirne

P.S.: how can it be that your answer has a posting hour of 9.56 p.m. and my question 12.50 p.m. of the same day?
