I miss the lack of a thanks button for posts that help us.

Unfortunately not in this forum. We don't really have contact with the owner of this forum anymore. I'd be glad to implement something like that on Inkscape Community forum (see my signature). However, it will be essentially closed soon, because we're planning on opening a new forum on the Inkscape website in August. And we certainly can explore putting such a feature on that forum.
Let me ask, what is the specific purpose of such a button? Is it really just for giving thanks? If so, what is the benefit of a button over someone just typing "thanks" for example? I don't mean to sound sarcastic. I really am curious.
Or maybe you use it for some other purpose, such as judging the quality of the answer that was given? Or identifying when the problem is solved? Or tracking the answers of particular members? Or something else?
Or maybe just wishing for more social type of interactions?
