Hi !
I use Inkscape with Ubuntu 12.04 so alt + clic doesn't work to select an object behind the current selection. Mainly by chance, thanked be burgondry wine, I discovered that ctrl + alt + b + clic (!) does the trick, but to do this you need an upright bass player's left hand.
So I wanted to modify the shortcut file: /usr/share/inkscape/keys/default.xml to something easier (ctrl + alt + x + clic seems to be unused) but I couldn't find the right line in the file. No shortcut involving key="b" and modifiers="Ctrl,Alt" seems to exist. Am I getting blind or is the truth elsewhere ?

Re: Select behind
Hi
Maybe the info from the manual can help you - see the section on mapping the alt key to another key.

Re: Select behind
Yep, I know this page, but I don't want to replace the alt key : it would lead me to change too many habits. What I really want to to is to replace ctrl+alt+b+clic by ctrl+alt+anything-else-than-b+ clic. Is it possible, or is it buried in the source code, which would need an heavier modification ?
