Hi,
Im running ubuntu and i installed inkscape and it works fine, I can vectorize the image and save it as a .eps file but when i then try to open it with signblazer (the program i got with my us cutter, on a computer running windows 7) it doesnt reconize it, even the preview is all blacked out and when you load it nothing happens. So i decided to try to find a way to keep everything in Ubuntu and came accrost the InkCut etxencion but im having a hard time installing it, it shows itself being under the extensions/cutter plotter tab but when i click on it i get this message:
"Inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected."
so i guess im just looking for any help on any way of making this work
thanks,
Jesse

Welcome Jesse
Is signblazer related in any way to SignCut? There are some tips about getting Inkscape files to work with SC here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=11849. Even if Sign Blazer is not related to SignCut, it might require similar tweaks to make it work. I can't remember if it's SC, or another cutter software, but one of them requires the paths in the Inkscape file to be really narrow, something like 0.001 px width. One requires the paths can't have any fill.
When you use InkCut, and you get that message, what happens next? The message doesn't sound too ominous, and I wouldn't call it exactly an error message. Maybe you could just continue on and see what happens? Have you read through the topic about InkCut? I think it covers some troubleshooting situations. If you don't see that message already in the topic, you could post a reply to that topic, and ask the author what it means.
You could also browse through this subforum. I'm pretty sure there's at least one other message about US Cutter. If we can't manage to sort out the problem here, you could try this forum: http://www.inkscapecuttingdesign.com/index.php?. They're familiar with all kinds of cutters and cutter software, and probably will know what kind of tweaks you need to do with Inkscape.
