Can someone please help me I have a big problem with Inkscape. See http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/7830/picture1cc9.png
I'm using Mac OS X 10.4.11, intel core 2 duo.
It's not a bug, so I'm not filing a report. I'm just afraid that I deleted a font file or something, because I noticed with two different builds of Inkscape which worked fine before, the text in menus and buttons just show up as boxes. I don't know what this font might be or where it would be located. In the past I had installed MacPorts and then later deleted it, maybe that has something to do with it? I don't know... It seemed at first only certain things would show up as boxes, but now just about every button and menu (as seen in the image I linked to above) shows letters for boxes. Can someone please provide some insight maybe? Any ideas? Right now I'm stuck using Inkscape on Windows XP thru VMware Fusion, but that wastes time and ram.
Letters in menus disappeared!
Re: Letters in menus disappeared!
If it helps solve the problem... I replaced the intel version of Inkscape with a PowerPC build (to use Rosetta) and the letters showed up. Still, I don't want to have to emulate an already slow (x-11) program.
