Hello,
I was wondering if there is a way to draw a figure and use a tool to duplicate it and fill the outside perimeter of an arc or circle with the duplicates?

to illustrate my point lets say I want to draw a simple flower and thus I make the circle and the petal design of my choice how do I make the petals and distribute them around the circle without having to manually create and rotate each individual petal?

What I want to do is similar to the Radial option on programs like Autocad etc

The feature in Inkscape is called "tile clones" - http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... ation.html

I think you'll need to use Shift and Rotation to offset the rotation point, or you might just need to shift the rotation centre - http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... tionCenter
