as things are heating up in europe driven by global political players, this seems like a good point for some skit packed in funny shorts. still wip, here are the first character-concepts, mr. obama and mrs. merkel.

are they recognizable as obama and merkel? which character-concept you'll find more interesting and neat - with or without outlined eyes?

any suggestions and tips are much appreciated.

I miss the superglue.
On the technical side, maybe the outlines would look better, if they were as at the top on the inside, and thicker around the overall figure, as on the bottom image.

obama's too dark to be believable. Might recognize if lighter skin color. Sorry, not familiar with merkel.

Haha I like them, I think the first version is the best one. I agree with brynn, Obamas skin color is not so dark. Also Merkel has blonde hair, if I'm not mistaken?! The front perspective of the two, especially the one of Merkel look really funny. Maybe you could tweak the body of Obama a bit (for example less broad shoulders). The side view of Merkel is ok, but I wouldn't recognize her. Try to get more detail on her face profile (http://bilder.bild.de/fotos/merkel-west ... 3.bild.jpg).

thanks brynn and Johannski, this helps A LOT, as always reading your reply's. nice reference picture! agreed - the side view of merkel needs some work. the longer i am thinking about good jokes for bad politics, the more taking world affairs with humor seems like a tough job.
