How to outline text and change document units

How to outline text and change document units

I have searched for the answer to my questions but have had no luck. Please help! First, how does one outline text? Also, is there anyway to change
the units on the grid to inches? Thanks in advance for your help!

type your text. open fill and stroke dialog. set fill to remove fill. set stroke to whatever color and weight you want.

Thank you for your help. And somehow my grid measurement units changed to inches. :o
