Huion Tablet Dual Monitor Offset

Postby b1ackplague » Mon Feb 24, 2014 10:06 am

Hi everyone, i'm new to using graphics tablets and new to inkscape as well. I have two Dell 24" 1920x1200 monitors running Windows 7.

The problem I have is that if I enable single monitor mode for the graphics tablet (in the tablet properties) then open up inkscape on a single monitor it causes an enormous offset in inkscape. Like 2-3 inches off. However if I turn enable dual monitor mode for the graphics tablet it's spot on accurate. I want to use single monitor mode because it's far more accurate when working (less screen resolution to tablet area ratio).

Also it's only the x-axis that's off. The y axis is correct.

Is there anyway to fix this? Any manual offset or something to that effect?

Notice where the triangle on the measure bar is compared to the mouse pointer (using my pen).

I have the same problem.

What I find especially interesting is that the offset only affects the drawing area. I can acurately navigate the menu or the panels on the right with the tablet.

I'm using the Huion 580 tablet with Inkscape 0.48.

Edit: A small correction is in order. OP reported that only the X coordinate deviates for them. For me, both deviate. That must be because for OP, the two monitors only differ in X dimension, while mine differ in both dimensions.
