Permanently translucent object

Postby Undoubtedly0 » Wed Jul 13, 2011 1:57 pm

Greetings! In trying to learn how Inkscape works, I was experimenting with an SVG version of the Wikipedia logo. When trying to change the color of the puzzle piece boarders, I encountered a problem: some of the objects seem to have some built-in transparency - no matter what I do I can't get certain objects to become completely opaque. Setting these objects dark green, for example, makes them appear light green (and still translucent) even though their opacity is at 100%. Any ideas on what could be preventing the object from becoming completely opaque?

Thanks Xav. I think it turned out to be that 'the object' was actually a group of objects that had to be further ungrouped before the opacity could be properly changed. Something like that, at least! Thanks again!
