Blurry Logo When Placed Online

Postby lindseyag » Sat Sep 14, 2013 6:51 am

I'm using Inkscape to create a rater basic logo, text and a small sphere. It's crisp and clear when created, I import it into a bitmap (.png) and it opens clear and crisp. When I upload the image onto my website (using wix) it becomes almost pixelated, blurry and distorted--not to a large degree but its noticeable. Additionally--the image regains clarity when enlarged on the website and looses clarity when made slightly smaller. I've attempted to create the logos in small, medium and large original sizes with no luck. Please help!

Hello:
Let's make a list:
- Are you exporting with the Export Bimap Dialog (Shift + Ctrl + E)?
- Change the size in the DPI widget (to 150, 300 or 600)
- Open the PNG in an image editor program, like Gimp or Photoshop, and export it to JPG
- Check in WIX site if there is a guide about uploading images.

Greetings

Hi.

Sounds it's all wix's fault.
See what their guides for the best quality as Hulf2012 suggested:

To add to the above, be sure to export at the same size as what you want your end result to be, rather than enlarge it after exporting. If your program allows for it, I usually try to export the png, then open it up in GIMP and save as a jpg to get the clearest quality.
good luck
