Postby Jaileal » Wed Nov 29, 2017 12:56 pm

I have a problem in change shortcuts, in my xml editor i cant find " Shift+L make line", i use ctrl+F to search for "L" but only find shortcut to layer ,so not all hotkeys are customisable or i need a specific editor?

Are you talking about Edit menu > XML Editor? It sounds more like you're talking about the Inkscape canvas.

Inkscape doesn't have a Shift + L shortcut, for drawing a line (for drawing anything). Instead, Inkscape draws paths.

If you want to change some existing shortcut to Shift + L, you probably can. Look up Inkscape Preferences > Interface > Keyboard Shortcuts. Then whichever command you want to change, you can change it there.

brynn, Shift-L exists, equivalent to clicking "make selected segments lines".

Unfortunately, not all shortcuts can be changed, nor in the built-in window in Preferences, nor by editing them manually in the configs XML files. And Shift-L seems to be one of them. :(

Yes, for checking out shortcuts, one can always refer to: https://inkscape.org/en/doc/keys092.html

Shift +L has 3 (more or less) different meanings in Inkscape.
