Font striked in red in Text and Font panel

Font striked in red in Text and Font panel

Please, what does it mean when the font name appears striked in red in red in Text and Font panel? As I save the draw as SVG (Inkscape or plain) and import it in Gimp, the result is a the artwork with a black strip right in the spot where the font should be. I am using Xubuntu Linux and it seems that the font file is correctly installed... Thanks in advance.

Edit: Via Font Manager I can see that the font file in question is only avaiable to User and not in System.
