Pasteboard Settings

Postby timpotterf » Tue Nov 10, 2015 1:16 pm

Hi! I am new to using Inkscape. I have a Mac. Everything seems to be working except copy/paste. It shows up very blurry. I looked online into this and eevryone said to change the pasteboard settings. Can someone please tell me how to do that? How do I access it? What do I change it to? Again, how do I access the pastebaord settings?
Thanks!

Here's a bunch of info about using Inkscape on a Mac: https://inkscape.org/en/learn/faq/#Mac_ ... fic_issues Unforetunately I can't help you with the pasteboard.

But this problem only happens when you paste something in Inkscape. (The object you pasted gets turned into a raster image.) Instead, you can use Duplicate. It's in the Edit menu, or there's a button on the command bar, or there's a key shortcut (idk what it is, but you can look it up in Help menu > Key and Mosue Ref).

When you duplicate a selected object, the duplicate is right on top of the original. It actually looks like nothing has happened. But it's there -- you just have to drag it away, or use some other technique to put it where you want it, on the canvas.
