question about overlapping shapes

Postby glasslady » Sat Feb 21, 2015 5:23 pm

Is there a way to to have one side of a shape below the other shape, and other end of it above without editing the shapes themselves? In this example - Yellow under purple at top, and over purple at bottom.

As per se, there is no way for compositing two objects that way.

Instead, you can mimmick the look by more than two -three- objects.

Here is an article on the same problem:

Good luck!

Applying a clipping path to the top object is the other classic way to deal with this. See part 13 of my tutorial series for details: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=11981
