Bandoo!
Bandoo!
Wasnt sure where quite to post this but when I downloaded inkscape it downloaded Bandoo(whatever that is) and I keep getting a pop up and slows me down quite often and its really getting on my tits! I ve searched under All Programmes and cant find it under that. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and what it comes under and/or how to remove it!
Re: Bandoo!
My advice: never download software from an unkown source or a rogue download site: always go to the homepage of a project (for Inkscape, it is http://inkscape.org) and look for the official download links.
The official package of Inkscape for Windows does not include any third-party apps, browser toolbars, spyware or trojans.
You might find solutions by googling for the name of this annoying third-party "tool" combined with the name of the site you downloaded the installer from.
There have been similar reports, e.g. here - but as far as I understand, there's not much the Inkscape project could do against sites offering such installer packages with additional apps wrapped around the original installation package for Inkscape (but I'm not a laywer ;) ).

Re: Bandoo!
Yeah I did initially download it direct from inkscape but couldnt get it to work properly so deleted it and downloaded it from someone else...dont know if deleting inkscape again would solve this..then download it again direct???
Re: Bandoo!
Yeah, it sounds like you downloaded some malware. I would definitely run all your security scans to clean up your system. Simply installing the legitimate inkscape program won't stop the popups and slowdowns. Even simply uninstalling or deleting this other program might not (probably won't) stop it.
If I recall, you have another topic, where you couldn't draw anything with certain tools? And if I recall, you do have it working now?
If you had downloaded the 7z (zipped version) would you please let me know? There was another issue with it a while back, but I haven't been able to confirm it.
But definitely get your system cleaned up, and get a legitimate version of Inkscape
(Note that you could make problems worse by not using good quality security programs. So be sure you've well researched any security program before you install it and use it. I could refer you to some legitimate forums for discussing security, if you like.)
