Issue with closed shapes

Postby Merman » Sun Oct 01, 2017 9:22 am

Hi all, my first post here. I really hope someone can help me with the following issue. I have used Inkscape for several years now, but lately I have a problem with drawing closed shapes. It happens with either a rectangle or some other closed shape I draw. I use a line with rounded corners, when you zoom in you see rounded corners. All corners are rounded except for the corner where I started and ended drawing my shape. That corner is square. Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Regards,
Ryan

Can you explain to us how you draw (which tool, what settings)?
Also, have you updated Inkscape and that was when it changed? Which Inkscape version, which operating system?

Known issue, tracked here: It is not fixed yet, and based on the triage comments by Tavmjong (Inkscape developer and SVG expert) it does not seem to be trivial to solve either. The same issue is also exposed with closed paths where the joined start and end segments are straight lines. As far as I can tell, there are no known workarounds at this time.

Thx for the reply. That is exactly my issue. Does it also show if you’d print the file?
