Art needed for iPhone/iPod/iPad Game

Postby kr77 » Sat Jun 26, 2010 9:47 pm

I am putting together a team for a game that will be published on the iPhone/iPod/iPad. We have a programmer (me), musician, and sound engineer. Now all we need is some high quality art and 3D models. We are looking for two interested artists who want to design story scenes, battlefields, and possibly textures for 3D models. We are also looking for 3D artists.

Team members will be paid based on AppStore sales and time/effort contributed. I created an iPhone/iPad game by myself over the last two months (RoundTraveler.com) and it is obvious that I need artists to produce a game worth playing. =)

Please read the below description and email me if you are interested or have questions.

Production Details:
The game will be programmed for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad using Unity3D, but will also be playable in a browser with a mouse. The web version will not be released to the public unless we can make money on it OR once we've made some money from the AppStore OR if we don't make any money on the AppStore =) The game will be completed by late July and published to the AppStore by late August. Also, all team members will have access to AppStore sales numbers directly from Apple.

Game Description:
Each player has a castle that contains structures and walls. Players fire cannons at each other to destroy the opponent's castle. Other weapons include knights, dragons, and magic (fireball, ice spike, lightning - which are created by drawing a spell symbol on the screen). There are two phases during play: a build phase and a battle phase.

During the build phase, players build/rebuild their castles and cannot attack each other. During the battle phase, players attack each other with the weapons mentioned above and earn gold by destroying the opponent's castle. Players lose by not being able to rebuild their castle walls during the build phase.

On the iPhone (and web version) there will be a one player mode and a two player mode over the web. On the iPad version, there will also be a party mode where 2-4 players can play each other on the same iPad.

Examples of Needed Art:

Battlefield terrain, viewed from above
