Inkscape simply DISAPPEARS on me.
I'll be happily working away and then BAM it's gone. Poof. No inkscape. No backup save or nothing, as far as I can see, and nothing I can do reproduces the error. Thus I can't report it for it to be officially acknowledged, and thus it can't be fixed, and thus I'm left cursing at Adobe Illustrator for crashing only slightly less frequently.
Well, actually, I guess it CAN be reproduced... just don't save your work for as long as possible, make some major breakthrough that makes you think you should save just as soon as you're done laying down that line, and preferably be using the Pen Tool to pull on node handles (though it's done the same thing while I've been typing out Text, so who knows?).
Incidentally, this forum has serious troubles loading on Internet Explorer. None of the links work and none of the images show up, and it's impossible to register so long as one is using IE. The register link, for example, links to "http:///ucp.php?mode=register&sid=3ab86744d5a826a8811f11a5415a96f7" - you can see how most of the URL is missing! Leads to "the address is invalid" messages.
The forum also has other messed up links that don't work in Firefox either. Try the 'cry' icon while posting and you'll see that instead of an error message, your post disappears as you're redirected to "Whoops, invalid address!" again.

All that aside, this program could be perfect for what I'm doing.

I'm using a Toshiba M200 Portege with all the official drivers, no spyware, no viruses, and no bunch of crap running in Task Manager, running Inkscape 0.46 and Windows XP Tablet edition with all the latest updates except for .Net 2 and 3.
Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Will there ever be an auto-save feature for Inkscape?
