join 2 paths.

Postby siger » Fri Jul 30, 2010 8:20 am

Good evening

I'm drawing a map of France with the path tool , following the shape with an imported picture.

As it was long to do, I did the job in different parts. I have two paths and I would like to join the two paths. How could i do ? Is it possible with the path tool ?

Thanks for your help.

Regis.

Look under Path menu, there are various path operations you can do. Read about them in the manual to find out which suits you the best.

If you feel like cheating download the file from here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:D%C3% ... France.svg :)

You might be looking to join 2 end nodes. First Path menu > Combine, to get your 2 paths to be 2 subpaths of the same path. Then highlight 2 adjoining endnodes and click Join 2 endnodes on the tool control bar. Do the same for the remaining loose ends. But as prkos suggested, please definitely refer to the manual, and other links in both our signatures.
