Remove the path and the text ins't curved anymore

Postby Xaykev » Sat Mar 06, 2010 4:22 am

I tried to make a curved text, so I made a curved line and chose the put on path option. So far, so good. But I want to get rid of the path, I only want the curved text. But when I try to delete the path the text goes back to being straight.
What am I doing wrong? I am a newbee and I tried to search the forum, but couldn't find a solution. Sorry if the question is very stupid

Best regards,
Xaykev.

If you delete the path thee is nothing for the text to be on.

Just make the path transparent or hidden but leave it there.

Thanks for the answer! The funny thing is that I actually did manage to delete the path, and the text was still curved. But I can't remember how I did it

You might have converted the text object to a path. It will look the same but no longer be editable by the text tool.
