I found this:
http://www.oberonplace.com/draw/drawscr ... acersh.htm
It's a script in corel draw that allows you to find and replace objects and even lets you keep the size of the old object being replaced.
Can we do this in Inkscape? If so, how?
Thanks!
How do I find & replace many objects automatically?
Re: How do I find & replace many objects automatically?

Welcome to InkscapeForum!
Yes, I assume a script could be written to do that. I wouldn't be surprised if someone already has written one.....although whether they have it posted somewhere where others can use it, I have no idea. You could search the internet, and possibly find one. Somewhere I've seen a script in a message in this forum, but I can't remember what it does. But you could search the forum as well. Or possibly someone made an extension, here's the repository: http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php ... Repository
Even though I'm not a programmer, I do understand what a script is, and in general how they work. It doesn't seem like it would be very long or complicated, and assuming one knew the proper language, fairly simple to write.
