Hi Guys,
Have you ever considered using your code to add .svg support to OpenOffice? That's something I'd reaaaaally love to see.

Re: SVG in OOo?
Its not quite that simple. There is a ODG import/export filter in inkscape, and I believe theres a filter thing that semi imports svg into OO if you google for it.
Re: SVG in OOo?
From what I've read, all solutions require SVG being converted to ODG. There must be a good reason why OpenOffice doesn't adopt SVG as a native image format.

Re: SVG in OOo?
Its a lot easier to define your own bastardized version of a standard that ignores some of the harder bits and so on than it is to implement a behemoth like the SVG standard properly and then add extensions in your own namespace...
not necessarily a good reason, but its a reason...

I guess support for other image formats now would need to be ran pass ISO now also.
Re: SVG in OOo?
Thanks for SVG. Is it a format or something?

SVG is the image format that Inkscape uses, if that's what you are asking. You can learn more about the SVG format at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Svg
