Dear all,

I recently installed the latest version of inkscape (0.48.4). I want to save a picture I created as an eps, but if I do that inkscape closes owing to "an internal error".

Has anyone already stumbled upon this problem?
Does anybody know a solution?

Hi Ellen,
How large of an image is it? Usually when people report that kind of problem, it's because the image is too big for Inkscape to use with your system's RAM. Apparently Inkscape doesn't use RAM very effectively. With 4 gb RAM I run into trouble with Inkscape files at around 10 mb (for crashing -- but I might run into other performance issues around 2 mb).

Of course there's always a chance of a new bug. But we take it one step at a time. If you could share the SVG file, we could test saving as EPS. I can't, because I'm not set up to display EPS files. But others can
