When I use division on a path I used difference on, it completely undoes the latter. Does anyone know what's causing this or how to prevent it?

Okay, I created a square then made circle-hole in the middle using Difference.





Then I attempt to make a triangle-shaped Division next to it. I expect it to only effect the area that was not Difference'd



Instead this is the result immediately after I hit 'Division'



After moving the shapes around.

It only seems to happen when the triangle is completely within the square when I try to divide:

You are using an outdated version of Inkscape (0.48.x) - I recommend to upgrade to current stable Inkscape 0.91 (this known issue with division applied to paths with holes is fixed in this release).

Yes! That fixed it. Can't believe I was using a five-year old version haha. Thanks a lot
