Hello, call me crazy but, I can not seem to print from inkscape! Checked my printer off of another page and it worked fine. Any Ideas of what to do or chage would be greatly appreciated!

I am having the same problem. I am using Inkscape .48.1. I am using Windows 7 home edition. My printer is a HP Photosmart
c7250 All-in-one. When I hit print, nothing happens. I can export as a png file, but the image is seriously deteriorated. I am new to this, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks! tk

I'm also using Windows 7, but Inkscape 0.48. I have not actually tried to print, but when I click Print, I get a dialog like this:



I see the option to add a new printer, and a button that says Find Printer. I see that "Microsoft XPS Document Writer" is highlighted, but I don't know what that is, and not sure if that's the proper selection. But since I don't see my printer listed, I'm guessing that I won't be able to print until I set it up to recognize my printer.

Are you even getting that dialog when you click Print? If so, do you see your printer listed? I actually also have an hp printer all-in-one (although I'm not sure if it's a "Photo Smart"). In other apps, my printer is usually shown in dialogs like this as "hp psc 750". So I'm guessing yours might be similar to "hp psc 725".

Or is it after you click Print on that dialog, that nothing happens?

Yes, that box shows up, and my printer is checked. It sends to my printer, and then stays there forever, spooling.

Ok, Just sent it again, had to wait a very long time, like 5 minutes, I guess to finish spooling, then it finally printed!!

Maybe it was a fairly large file.
