Catalogue in pdf using inkscape

Postby gocha » Mon Apr 18, 2011 8:18 pm

Hi,
I am almost completely new in graphics but I woud like to create a catalogue with company's offer.
It should consist of 3-4 pages and be in pdf format.
You can something like that here:
http://www.egmont.pl/pl/ksiazki/pobierz_katalog/

Is it possible to create something like that in Inkscape? How few pages in one file can be created?
Any help wld be appreciated, maybe tutorial already exists? I didn't manage to find one.

Regards,
gocha

There have been any number of user tests: It's a consitently bad idea to use PDF. It is an exceptionally bad idea to use PDF for catalogs.

Further, the example you point to is photographic. Inkscape is for vector graphics. While possible -- a lot of things are possible -- Inkscape is unsuited for what you describe.

If you can't use PhotoShop and Creative Suite for some reason, give GIMP and Scribus a try.
