Sizing

Postby shanna_whiteley » Sat Aug 13, 2011 1:45 pm

I am having some trouble...hope someone can help me. When I create a page in inkscape and then load it on the computer into the website, it looks great. All the photos, etc look just like I did them...then...I go look at the page on another computer (which is HD) and the pictures looked long and narrow. Is there some way to "lock" the photos or something so they don't distort if people viewing have a HD screen. The one I do the work on is set at 1024 x 768. The HD screen is set at the high level, which is about 3 times that other setting.

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

Hhm, I'm not familiar with HD screens. When you say
The HD screen is set at the high level, which is about 3 times that other setting.

what is it a high level of -- what does "high" measure? 3 times what other settings? Do you understand what I'm asking?

But this may be more of a problem with the screen size/dimensions than with the HD. Is this a computer screen, or a TV screen? When you're writing the code for your webpage, there are certain ways to do it, that are more appropriate than others, to allow ideal viewing on all screen sizes and all browsers. I know very little about coding websites, but other members here will definitely be able to help, if it's a coding issue. Did you use.html
