InkCut 1.0 on Ubuntu 14.04LTS

Postby samsung61 » Thu Nov 27, 2014 11:51 pm

Hi I am trying to install the inkcut extension in Inkscape 0.48 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

I have installed the files as per the instructions to /home/your_username/.config/inkscape/extensions/ but this did not work. Noticing that no other extension files were there. I found the extension files in /usr/share/inkscape/extensions and so installed inkcut there and removed the other files. This was more promising, in inkscape I get Cutter/Plotter under extensions but nothing else when I mouse over.

Can anyone help please.

Thanks in advance

Hi.

Make sure the paths set in "preferences - misc" (Shift + Control + P) is set to correspond to the actual paths on your system.

Thanks for the reply. After some thought I took the files and folders out of their InkCut 1.0 folder and copied them into the extensions folder and now it works fine
