When I click on the buttons next to the digital input several times (doubleclick), they are froze, as if I continue to hold mouse button. This is screencast:

I use Ubuntu 14.04 and Inkscape 0.91. I tried to reproduce Your problem in my system but It doesn't appeared.

I can make guesses:
- mmm... do you use Inkscape 0.91 right?

- It's a problem of the new Ubuntu. Do You updated the system from a previous one, or it's fresh install? It culd be a hard work around but if othing works use a previous version.
- You have an special hardware You don't mention. Probably a special digital pen ,or "wacom", so please give more details. If Yes, Inkscape have a special dialog for setup these kind of device. Please look at the forum or into Inkscape documentation, to get more details.


If nothing works, please also share the information.

I think I won't update Ubuntu yet

I use Inkscape 0.91 from ubuntu repos, and Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 (with Gnome Shell).

I have 2 Ubuntu, one of them updated from 14.04, one installed from usb. And both of them have this problem. And I don't have any special input devices

I can only encourage You to do more tests and think more if Your computers have something special that may affect this problem.

- I also forgot to ask you which are the hardware charactersitics of yours (processor, ram memory, antiquity of them).

- If You say that You have 2 computers with Ubuntu 16.04, and both have the problem, my main suspect is then Ubuntu 16.04. I think You should warn and request help in the Ubuntu bug system, in developers mailing list or user forum.

- I haven't seen nothing related in Inkscape launchpad, but You may prefer do other search:

- Have You seen this kind of behaviour on other programs, like GIMP?, or perhaps any other graphic editor on the new Ubuntu?

- If You have the chance, try to install a Previous Ubuntu in one of your computers. As I said before, In my system that feature works as expected.

wow... ... totally missed then...

However, in my opinion a question remains. The problem it's present in Ubuntu 16 but not in Ubuntu 14. So the problem belong to the developers of GTK libraries, to Ubuntu 16.04 packers, ... or to Inkscape developers?... I mean, just ask for having an idea about how to solve it, or if a workaround is possible.

The trigger of the issue as reported by some users is unknown (and along with that there are no known 'steps to reproduce' such behavior intentionally, and no workarounds have been reported/shared either). AFAICT it possibly seems to be related to some user-specific settings (e.g. for GTK2, for the window manager, the desktop, the input device itself, ...) - see also the last comment in the report.

If you need a tester... I can trigger that, too. Funny thing is that when you then create more circles, it never stops...
