Hi All,
I have just discovered Inkscape and am very excited to learn how to use it. My hubby gave me a Cricut Maker last Christmas and have decided that I want to learn how to make my own SVG files. I've been watching videos on You Tube, but for the most part the authors go to fast or too slow and are unorganized in their teaching methods. I'm a visual learner but like to have a written explanation with visual aids. If any of you have any suggestions for a good tutorial or videos I would be very grateful!

On this page: https://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/index.php you'll find loads and loads of tutorials. They are mostly organized by skill level, and most of them (if not all) indicate whether they are text or video. (I find video tutorials annoying, myself.)

Also locate the box titled "Inkscape and Digital Cutting Machines". There are some tutorials by Heather M which are made specifically for using Inkscape to make designs for digital cutters (such as Cricut).

Although I'm about to put this forum into read-only mode (which means you won't be able to post messages there), you will still be able to find and read the tutorials: https://www.inkscapecuttingdesign.com/smf/index.php There are some really excellent tutorials for using Inkscape with digital cutters, there too! And you can still post messages in this or the other forum (in my signature), even after that one goes read-only.
