Hi,

second time I've downloaded and gotten this result, so I thought I'd post and ask:

trying to launch
Inkscape-0.47-3.exe

I get an error message:

NSIS Error
Error Launching Installer.

This happened exactly the same way with 0.46 when I tried it previously.

It also happens with
InkscapePortable_0.47.paf.exe

in exactly the same way.

I'm afraid I have no idea why or what to do. Is this likely a problem with inkscape or something else with my computer (windows XP)?

Note that you don't have to use the installer - you can instead download one of the archives (inkscape-0.47-3-win32.zip or Inkscape-0.47-3-win32.7z) and install it yourself (just unzip it in some suitable location).

But if you want to use the installer, the first thing I would check is that there are no non-ASCII characters in the path where you have put Inkscape-0.47-3.exe, since this has been known to cause NSIS problems.

Thanks, it was non-ASCII characters (japanese characters in the folder name), i moved it to a different folder and it installed fine. thanks for the reply!
