My name is Jansi and I'm designing a card for the birth of our first child. The text so far was quite easy as it was only text. But we are in the birth theme so I wish to add some birds. I found a nic pic which I can use but I would like to have the background full white so I have a full black white pic.

What I have tried so far is trying with the Paint Bucket but without any desired result so far.
Can someone show me the way?

Hi.

You had a raster image in your file, that inkscape can not colourize itself.
You can trace it manually with the pen tool, or run the auto-trace option.
