Can't use any Extensions

Postby tfarkas » Tue Jan 21, 2014 3:03 am

I am unable to access any of the extensions functions. I'm working on a Mac (OS X 10.9.1) running Inkscape v.0.48 through XQuartz 2.7.5_rc3. When I try to an extension, such as the Function Plotter (or anything else), I get this message:
Inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected.

The fantastic lxml wrapper for libxml2 is required by inkex.py and therefore this extension. Please download and install the latest version from http://cheeseshop.python.org/pypi/lxml/, or install it through your package manager by a command like: sudo apt-get install python-lxml

I have downloaded this lxml wrapper, but I'm unsure how to install it. Can anybody please offer some advice? Thanks in advance.
