Icons

Postby Geysser » Sat Jan 02, 2010 7:14 am

Hi guys!I don't know if somebody else has asked this, but I really have a problem with creating icons in inkscape. And the problem is this: I start with a 48x48 canvas, but in the icon preview, the smaller sizes seem blurry and really ugly! I thought that svg was all about scalability, but it doesn't seem to be the case. Am I doing something wrong?Do I miss something? Please, help!!!!!!!

To avoid blurriness, you need to design the icon so that, as far as possible, edges align with pixel boundaries. See this old thread for some discussion of how to do it.

There is also the pixelsnap extension:
http://code.google.com/p/pixelsnap/

that can help to fix existing icon drawings.
