finding middle of a document

Postby altoid » Fri Aug 20, 2010 8:08 pm

Hello,

I'd like to ask if (other than calculating from dimensions) there is a way to find a middle of a page/document in either direction, or, for that matter, a method of choice for dividing page into sections/grids of a given length ratio, related to page dimensions (eg. sections of 1/3 of total page length each).

thanks in advance for your help!

You can use snapping, first create a rectangle that snaps to page corners, then snap to mid of its bounding box.

Check out the extension to create guides (I think it's under Render), it splits up the page in sections as you'd like.
