I have been given some .cdr files which I need for work. I understand they are vector graphics.
I require them in a format which I can use on my Mac.
Corel Draw is extortionate and not apparently available for the mac (OS 10.6).
Following some online research I have installed inkscape and have made an attempt at installing UniConvertor 1.1.1.
On face value the whole package seems less user friendly than I was expecting, but hey not giving up yet.
So I figured out how to get a terminal window up on my Mac (all wrong), and typed in python setup.py install.
This generated a new folder entitled 'build' in the Uniconvertor folder on my desktop.
Within this new build folder are two folders:temp.macosx-10.6-universal-2.6 and lib.macosx-10.6-universal-2.6
I'm not getting a click on the nice pretty logo, and watch the program spring to life in a window kinda feeling here.
I just want to convert some .cdr files, of which I have no idea of their size or relevance into something a little more manageable.
Have I stepped way out of sense and perhaps, more likely, my league here?

Re: Inkscape, Uniconverter .cdr
AFAIK, Mac isn't officially supported, but the primary developer of UniConvertor has a Powerbook Pro, so it makes sense asking in the forum at http://sk1project.org. I'm quite sure he tried installing UC on Mac himself, so he's bound to have a clue what to do.
