Welcome to InkscapeForum!

I would suggest using the Envelope extension http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL ... s-Envelope. Basically, you would draw the road lines straight. Then draw a separate path in sort of a triangle with the top chopped off. That one will be used to shape the road lines. If the road goes to infinity at the horizon, the triangle won't need to be chopped off.

If the road lines are a solid line, then the road line will be a long skinny rectangle. If you use the Rectangle tool, you'll have to use Path menu > Object to Path, to convert it to a path. Or if you use the Pen tool, it will already be a path. If you're talking about the dashed road lines, you'll have several long skinny rectangles. After you've converted them to paths (if necessary), select them all, and then do Path menu > Combine.

Now select the road lines first and chopped off triangle path 2nd, then Extensions menu > Modify Path > Envelope.

There's almost always more than one way to do what you want to do. I would probably take a different route than using an extension, as I tend to have issues with extensions. I'd probably just draw the two lines, then angle them in a bit to give the appearance of disappearing, and I'd also click on Path, then Stroke to Path, this makes the line an object and then you can make the line larger at the beginning and then get smaller as you go along.

Oh, a curved road.... We may be getting into some uncertain territory here, without knowing exactly what's happening on your canvas. But if things are going the way I explained, then I would suggest using Path menu > Path Effects Editor > Bend. Select the road line, then click Add button in Path Effects Editor. If the road line is going bottom to top, then check the box that says "Original path is vertical". When I do that, it turns my road line horizontal, but you can make it vertical again. Click the :tool_node: button in the Path Effects Editor. You'll see a single green path appear on the road line object. Grab one of the nodes of the green path and drag it whichever way you need to, to turn the road line object back to vertical. After it's vertical again, you can grab the green path and drag, just like it was a regular path, and curve the whole road line. Once you go back to the Selection tool, the green path will disappear. If you ever need it again, click the :tool_node: button in Path Effects Editor.

If that doesn't work, we'll probably need to see the SVG file. But I'll keep my fingers crossed :D
