I have used the tool Trace Bitmap in the past quite succesfully in the past to make a conversion. But now I try to make a conversion of this file:
http://s938.photobucket.com/albums/ad223/flyingdutchman12/?action=view¤t=Airbus_A400M_03.jpg
This is of course for wikipedia. When I use Trace Bitmap/Colors I get an almost exact replica of the file:
http://s938.photobucket.com/albums/ad223/flyingdutchman12/?action=view¤t=Airbus_A400M_03.jpg
Almost exact but for one thing: the colors are faded. Can this be solved? How do you solve this?

Re: Making a svg-file of a jpg-file
When I've had this problem in the past, I've found that increasing the number of scans can help. How many scans did you use? I think the default is 8. Assuming that's what you used, try doubling that, say to 15 to 20. Any better?

Re: Making a svg-file of a jpg-file
could you include a copy of the faded SVG for us to compare?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You were right, Brynn. I increased the number of scans (20). This is the result. Near perfection: http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad223/flyingdutchman12/Germanplane20.png
