Adjusting text size to custom shape

Postby with23nails » Mon Apr 25, 2011 8:15 am

Adjusting text size to custom shape - subject says it all really. What I mean by that is: can I automatically adjust text size inside a triangle in such a way, so it will be bigger by the base of said triangle and decrease in size towards the other end? And what about more complicated shapes, like Spiro paths?

Welcome with23nails!

I can't think of any way to do this automatically. I think it would always have to be done "manually". Someone else may know of something though???

Group the triangle and the text for the purpose of resizing?

There just is no way to do this and have the text object remain an editable text object. By editable I mean that you could go back and change a word to another or correct the spelling etc. You would have to convert the text object to a path object and then you would have a vast number of options open to you to get the desired effect.
Your mind is what you think it is.

Thanks for replays everyone. In the end I decided to do it manually, that way I have more control over the composition.
