I just booted up 0.48 for the first time today, and I just wanted to tell some of the developers how much it made my day. I'm not sure the best way to pass on my thanks, so I decided to post here, and also to donate some $$.

I really like what you guys have done with the snapping tools, in particular. Telling me _why_ the thing I'm dragging is snapping to a particular location is a huge time-saver, for helping me figure out which "snap" option I need to disable in order to prevent my selection from sticking to something I don't want it to. And having all the "snap" options as buttons down the right side of the window is a HUGE improvement over having to go into the "preferences" dialog.

I'm also pretty happy about the "path effect" editor (though I think it could stand to have some usability improvements).

I have been happily using Inkscape 0.47. I understand that there are still a few bugs in the new 0.48 version, so I'm not sure I want to upgrade yet. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a concise description of the changes and additions introduced in 0.48. If you know where I can find this information, please post. Thanks.
