Hello! After using inkscape for a while, something changed.. Now all of a sudden when I tried to delete a node (by pressing delete), it just shrunk it or something.. my page down and page up do no longer work either when I try to move things back and forth.. Anyone got any ideas?

Sofar you have not received any replies to your question, and that may indicate that there is no one that experienced similar behaviour before.

I can only give you some pointers on how keys are assigned.

By default Inkscape uses a file in the installation directory /share/keys/default.xml
It could be that your file got corrupted. Fortunately there is a file inkscape.xml in that same directory that contains the default inkscape settings.
- Delete the old default.xml from this directory
- Make a copy of inkscape.xml and rename it to default.xml
