I have to keep rebooting

Postby judyjo7 » Tue Jun 01, 2010 8:28 am

I am running Inkscapes on a Mac with Leopard. At least once or twice a day Inkscapes will not cooperate with what I have been doing successfully earlier in the same day and I have to shut down and reboot to get it to return to a cooperative mode. An example would be in interpolate sub-paths. I will be OK untill I try to paste the path......it won't paste it untill I reboot even though I have done it earlier in the same day. I am hoping someone will be able to help me.

Did you change the X11 pasteboard preferences as described in the FAQ? This not only helps with pasting real vector data instead of bitmap copies, it also has been reported by many Snow Leopard users to make the X11 pasteboard working again (if you can't copy &paste at all).

See also the comment the earlier topic "Mac Snow Leopard?" describing the changes you have to make in the X11/Xquartz settings if using Inkscape 0.47 (applies for Leopard and Snow Leopard).

I did as you suggested and it is being more cooperative now. Thank you so much for your help...next time I will check the faq more thoroughly.
