Hi, I have been using Inkscape on and off for a while now. However I have come into trouble with importing images into my work. At the beggining of my project all of the images which I imported (.jpeg's) were importing fine, however recently all of my imported jpeg images are coming up blank and invisible. I was using an older version so I upgraded and then all of my saved images, which I had embedded into the .svg file, are now also coming up with "linked image not found" . The images that I am trying to import into one file are around 3-4MB's each, and in total I can only import 8 of them before inkscape imports "blanks", they are all jpegs. I dont have this problem with other smaller sized images on my computer, and other jpegs seem to import fine into the work. Can somebody please help me and tell me how I can import these maps into my work. Thanks.

It's really unfortunate to have the images from older files missing. You mention that you embedded images but they come up with the linked image message. Are you sure those images were embedded? Linked images are independent of the SVG file so you have to move them too if you move the SVG file so they display properly. Embedded images are inside SVG code, this makes the SVG larger but everything is in one place.

I did embed them a number of times as my project got more and more jpegs images in it, and it did work when i moved the file to another folder in my computer, so I am not sure as to what happened in the moving process.

What has been happening to me sounds very much like the bug which you posted. Is there a way to get around this? What would you suggest I try? Thanks.
