White border around images when export png
White border around images when export png
Hello, I am new to inkscape. I am trying to create images to use in my Android game, which uses pngs for the graphics. I have created some images that look great in Inkscape, but when I export them to bitmap it seems as if a white border is created around them to make them look smoother. This is fine until I delete the background, which causes this border to stand out. Is there some way that I can turn off this "auto-smoothing" feature that Inkscape seems to have? Otherwise, what could I do fix this issue?

Hello there!
I'm not sure if I get your explanation right, so my guess would be you have some problems with anti-aliasing?
Inkscape works with a 90 dpi resolution, meaning to get a pixel fitted image,
you need to draw with the exact pixel sizes, placing every nodes on even pixel coordinates,
using an exporting resolution of 90 dpi.
Still with non-horizontal/vertical lines, you cannot avoid all anti-aliasing.
By the way I was confused of your description because inkscape exports transparent png-s, so
any "white" border should be pixels with some alpha channel?
