rename it to "circles" with keyboard shortcut
What I get:

open "xml editor" (don't know if there is a keyboard shortcut)

find created group "g2995"

rename it to "circles"

Ctrl-Enter

close "xml editor" (there is no iconify button)
Where is no simple way to rename groups?

open xml editor shortcut = shift + ctrl + x
I suggest you open object properties dialog instead => shift + ctrl + o
